Core Responsibilities MRO data cleanse and upkeep. Working in collaboration with the master data team, ensure our material descriptions data is being deployed in accordance to overall Smithfield MDM strategy. Partner with the master data team to understand appropriate division of labor & responsibility. Collaborate with our finance team to systematically pull detailed spend information from SAP and buildout dashboards. Leverage IT expertise and the data analytics team to ensure compliance to our procurement policy. Establish extensive professional knowledge and experience of principles and techniques of negotiation to advise the business, direct and secure the best outcome for the company, maximize leverage control and steer complex and critical negotiations. Act as the main point of contact in integrating and communications of sourcing activities. Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, business adoption, technology enhancements. Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders to understand and support their vendor needs; work with managers and key partners to identify opportunities to leverage purchasing power. Vendor rationalization:
continue developing better relations with our vendor community and the expectation of improving cost and/or service and consolidation of material SKU's. Support and regularly attend cross functional marketing, business meetings and provides input on business strategy. Support and initiate cost savings projects impacting plants. Employee development:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, food science, packaging, agri-business, economics, engineering, supply chain or related discipline and 10
years' relevant experience in a multiple facility organization; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required. Minimum of 7
years' experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, required. SAP experience is required. Must understand production planning and materials requirement planning. The ability to work through complex, unstructured problems Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats High level of written and oral communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. May require travel up to 50% of the time to manufacturing plants. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
ProcurementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
