ore Responsibilities Ensures that all new or changed product requests from Sales are processed in a timely manner per Sales Management prioritizing. Coordinates with Labeling, QA and Food Safety Departments to ensure the accuracy of information. Arranges timely project updates with Sales and Operations. Shares technical expertise with Lab personnel and customers, as needed. Works with Production to improve processes to achieve better yields and/or labor costs. Ensures that files are maintained with all appropriate information including labels, specifications and SQF requirements. Collaborates with Purchasing to approve new ingredients and supplies. Proactively works to prevent process or product failures and continuously improve product quality by working with Operations to develop plans, process controls and training to ensure least cost, highest quality production. Reviews projects related to customer requests for new products and internal requests for process and product improvements. Communicates with members of Operations, Sales, Marketing and Quality Assurance on a regular basis to report progress on projects and receive feedback from the various departments to develop products that meet the customer's expectations. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Food Science or related field and 8
years relevant plant manufacturing experience in the meat processing industry, required. Master's Degree, preferred. Minimum 5
years' experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, required. Experience with multifaceted management of multiple projects and areas of reasonability. Able to work independently to ensure completion of R&D strategic goals. Must be able to identify consumer insights ad translate them into finished products. Proven track record with working effectively as a business leader and cross functional teams. Able to multi-task, think creatively, and work as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Work Environment
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Other SciencesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
